Can We Keep Her?

This is Kai! Isn't she adorable? Noooo we won't be buying any babies any time soon. I kept her so my friend could go to the zoo with her son's class. (Sound familiar?) She is SPOILED! She likes to be held and she spits up a LOT! I liked having her for a day, but I was glad to send her on her way when Mama came to pick her up. She wasn't too terrible that I won't keep her again. In fact I may get to keep her next month when her other brother goes to Schlitterbahn, so Mama can sponsor that trip too! She is a QT!!

River Parade

Last night we participat -ed in the HUGE week long FIESTA-SAN ANTONIO by going to the Texas Cavaliers River Parade. Good thing we purchased seats that we had the worst time finding and once we got there, we had a great view of the very LARGE palm tree in front of us. Delaney kept kicking the lady (who did not buy tickets) who plopped down on the ground in front of our chairs. Once we got situated, the view of the parade was worth the tickets. This year's theme was Rio Holiday, and each float was decorated accordingly with traditional holidays such as Easter, St. Patrick's Day, and Memorial Day. Others confirmed non-traditional days as HOLIDAYS....SUPER BOWL and SPRING BREAK??? We were most impressed with the elaborate decor and costumes, and each float had dancers and singers, most with live bands. It was a late night, but worth it. We got to experience what the hype was all about during this week....about 200,000 people they say attended the parade. Now we feel like official residents!

The Power Of Coupons

Have you seen the new chocolates out by Hershey's....Bliss? I have had my eye on them for quite some time now, and by wishful thinking received a coupon for $1off at CVS. So you KNOW I had to get them and try them. Well not only did I TRY them, I ate the whole freaking bag today!!! I am ashamed to say that is not the first time I have gorged myself....cookie dough, brownies, just to name a few of my victims. Yet I still ask myself every day..."Self why don't your clothes fit?" Answer: They shrunk! That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Please someone tell me you have done the same thing, and please don't let it be on a bag of carrots!

Zoo Fun

Yesterday I went to the San Antonio Zoo with Delaney's class. We had a great time...weather and kiddos all cooperated! We arrived at the zoo around 10:00 am and everyone was already hungry. I was able to take Delaney and 2 of her friends off by ourselves. We stopped to eat across from the lions. While we were eating, the Mrs. Lion woke up from her nap on the wrong side of the den. She began to roar, but it sounded more like she had a giant fur ball stuck. After a quick break we continued our mission to find the butterflies. The girls thought it was neat how they would land on you, like those icky birds did. We were all exhausted at the end of the day. One little girl asked Mrs. Pearce if they were having recess when they got back! The rest were worried they would miss centers if they didn't get back to school in time. What a fun time, and how cute are those little Kinder Kids!
